Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager with a strong background in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with proven experience in procurement and leading high-performing teams. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing sourcing activities, building supplier partnerships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that procurement strategies are aligned with organizational goals. Leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration are key aspects of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute procurement strategies that support business objectives and deliver cost efficiencies.
Source and evaluate suppliers of raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods and services.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals, setting clear objectives and KPIs to drive performance and accountability.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture aligned with company values.
Oversee contract negotiations, supplier agreements, and pricing to secure the best value for the organization.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality and service standards.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Production, Quality, Finance, and Logistics) to align procurement plans with operational needs.
Analyze market trends and supply risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
Track and report on procurement performance, cost savings, and risk management.
Ensure adherence to company policies, procurement regulations, and sustainable sourcing practices.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 10 plus years of procurement experience in the FMCG industry.
Proven experience in managing and developing procurement teams.
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and drive team success.
In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, vendor management, and sourcing strategies.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in ERP and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba).
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
